Manchester United have struggled to get started so far this season with just three wins from 11 games across all competitions.
The Red Devils under Erik ten Hag are struggling to turn the situation around and need to make a decision on the future – on whether or not to continue with the Dutch coach.

However, they are continually being linked with a number of players in the transfer market. Their uncertain present is not seemingly troubling their ability to attract top talents, despite not being on course to qualify for Champions League football.
One player that Man Utd want to sign, as per Jornal de Noticias (news image provided below), is Alvaro Carreras. The Spanish youngster is a talented left-back talent who has caught the eye playing for Portuguese side Benfica and his form has been impressive for some time now.
Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all extremely interested in trying to sign the 21-year-old but Man Utd, according to the report, have a major edge in their pursuit to sign Alvaro Carreras.
Carreras was on the books of Manchester United for a number of years, although the club did not give him a chance in the first team. He joined the Red Devils from the Real Madrid academy and has since gone on to establish himself as a big talent with Benfica.
The 20-time English champions have a buy-back clause that they agreed on when they sold the Spaniard to Benfica. This gives them an advantage over the clubs as all they will have to do is convince the player to return to Old Trafford.
This transfer saga for Alvaro Carreras promises to be a very exciting one and could even result in a bidding war if the player decides to snub a return to Old Trafford. Let’s wait and see if Manchester United are involved in it and where the player ends up in the future.
