According to reports from the Metro, super agent Jorge Mendes is negotiating a new deal for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
Jose Mourinho has not enjoyed a completely smooth period as manager of Manchester United since his appointment at the start of last season but it has to be said that the Portuguese tactician has brought about a lot of improvement at Old Trafford since the dour days of Louis van Gaal.
Mourinho has turned United into genuine title contenders during the current campaign and it has to be said that the he has got the Red Devils closer to their glory days than they have ever been since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
Despite this fact though, Mourinho and the Old Trafford faithful have not always shared the best of relationships and the 54-year-old has recently hinted at an exit from United, with a potential move to PSG being touted.
The United hierarchy clearly do not want to lose the services of Mourinho though and are said to be planning contract talks with the former Chelsea manager.
Now in a fresh development, the Metro have claimed that Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes is currently in negotiations with United over a new deal for his client and it is believed that he could become the world’s best paid manager by agreeing a new deal of around £15million-per-year at Old Trafford.
