According to reports from the Irish Independent, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has demanded the club board to sign Valencia youngster Carlos Soler during the January transfer window.
While Manchester United enjoyed a strong start to the Premier League campaign, their recent slump in form proves that the Red Devils still have a long way to go before being able to sufficiently compete with rivals Manchester City for the Premier League title.
The current campaign is certainly far from done at the moment but that said, United need to further strengthen their ranks during the upcoming January transfer window in order to be able to close the gap on City at the top of the table.
Bringing in new midfield players seems to be one of the main priorities for manager Jose Mourinho due to injury problems plaguing Paul Pogba and now according to reports from the Irish Independent, claims are being made that the Portuguese tactician is currently plotting a swoop to sign Valencia youngster Carlos Soler.
Soler has been on the radar of United for quite a while now following his breakout campaign for Valencia last season and with the 20-year-old having impressed during the current term as well, Mourinho is now desperate to land the young sensation.
The Independent have recently claimed that Mourinho wants the United hierarchy to deliver the signing of Soler during the upcoming January transfer window and the Red Devils are considering the possibility of offering Andreas Pereira, who is currently on loan at Valencia, as part of any potential deal.
