Jose Mourinho readying fresh move to sign £45million World Cup finalist

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on reviving the club’s interest in Ivan Perisic with former target Gareth Bale appearing likely to remain with Real Madrid.

Perisic was heavily linked with a potential move to Old Trafford last summer but ultimately the deal never materialised with United reluctant to come close to Inter’s £50m valuation for his services.

The £45million attacker has since gone on to star for Croatia at the World Cup where he contributed three goals and an assist during their run to the final and Mourinho now appears keen on a fresh approach for the attacker.

According to M.E.N, Mourinho could urge the club to push with a fresh enquiry for the attacker with a deal for Bale looking improbable following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

Nevertheless, Perisic may not come on the cheap owing to Inter’s shrew negotiation tactics and United may find themselves paying much more than the £50m fee quoted in the previous summer.

Mourinho could not find the perfect fit for the right-wing role during the course of the 2017/18 season and Chelsea’s Willian has been another, who has been fancied to strengthen the position for next term.
