Manchester United have been offered a significant boost in the pursuit of Napoli midfielder Jorginho with his representative Joao Santos having arrived in Manchester for transfer discussions.
The Italy international has been in splendid form in the Serie A this term, and his progress is said to have caught the eye of several elite clubs including arch-rivals Liverpool.
Just a couple of days ago, Santos stressed that he had made no contact with United regarding his client’s future, but according to TMW, the agent has arrived in Manchester ahead of proposed talks with Jose Mourinho’s side.
Frankly, there is the chance of Liverpool edging ahead of United in the race for the midfielder, but their agreement to sign RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita could deter their plans of signing Jorginho, who would want assurances of regular gametime.
Michael Carrick’s retirement and Marouane Fellaini’s likely exit in the summer, mean that United need to heavily concentrate on the midfield department, where they have been left short on occasions through injuries.
Scott McTominay have shown the composure of a veteran during his recent run alongside Nemanja Matic, but Jorginho brings plenty of experience with his distribution skills regarded as a key strength.
That is a good deal, if the little boy inside united is not lying to us.
of course is a good deal
please let Paul Pogba and Mourinhio iron out there differences we need PP on the pitch.
