Belgium national team manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed that the injury suffered by Marouane Fellaini is not of a serious nature.
Fellaini is currently on international duty with the Belgium national team but he missed the Red Devils’ 9-0 thumping of Gibraltar on Thursday night after picking up an injury.
As a result, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho would surely have been left worried regarding the fitness of one of his key players but as a huge sense of relief to the Portuguese tactician, Belgium national team manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that Fellaini has already returned to full fitness and is now in contention to feature for his side during the upcoming encounter against Greece.
Speaking about Fellaini, Martinez said, “I was talking about Marouane this morning. He is sharp, fit and eager. That’s a boost with a view to Greece.”
Fellaini has not started a single match for United so far this season but he has made regular appearances from the bench and his impact has been notable as the Premier League side have scored a whopping seven goals after his introduction into the game.
Therefore, Fellaini is certainly having a positive impact for United and the fitness boost will surely come as music to the ears of Mourinho.
