According to Daily Star, Manchester United are being linked with a surprise move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane in the summer. The England international has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who arrived at Old Trafford in a £75m deal in July 2017.
Kane has been in stunning form for the north London outfit over the past few seasons, and he looks on course to claim the Premier League Golden Boot for the third season on the trot, though the likes of Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah could have their say.
As per Marca, Mourinho is said to regret the signing of Lukaku from Everton earlier in the summer, and he could potentially look to replace the Belgian with a big-money move for Spurs favourite and England skipper Harry Kane.
Nevertheless, the deal is not straightforward with the 24-year-old seemingly keen on plying his trade at Spurs’ new stadium, should Mauricio Pochettino stay put with the Capital outfit beyond the current campaign.
Lukaku has been criticised for his inability to perform in the big matches, but he has still put his efforts in the frontline where there has been a distinct lack of service from his teammates behind him.
The Belgian footballer is close to notching his 20th goal across all competitions for United in his debut season, and Mourinho would rather prefer pairing Lukaku with Kane, having previously stressed that the former’s position is untouchable at Old Trafford.
Ha bloody ha. Mourinho and a thousand other managers would like Harry Kane.
This blog doesn’t even constitute ‘fake’ news. It’s simply ‘nothing’ news.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha…………
This is nonsense on so many levels its hard to know where to begin. Spurs won’t sell Kane to anybody, never mind Man U. The idea that Kane and Lukaku could play as a front two is ludicrous, even for Mourinho. The story comes from Marca, which makes it drivel: and repeated by the Daily Star – oh, right, so it must be true.
I don’t know why you repeat this tripe.
If you could not see that lukaku has his moments you must have been blind. There were months when he could not get a goal for Everton, no one would have bought him but you. Money isn,t everything, taste and common sense plays a bigger part and that is what your manager does not possess. There is no way you will ever buy Harry Kane, it’s a joke. Better teams than you want him but you think money talks, sad really.
