According to Don Balon, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made a ‘great offer’ to Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos who is ‘seriously considering’ accepting the proposal. The German international has been linked with United since 2014 and could now finally be on his way to Old Trafford four years later.
The £325,000-per-week star nearly joined the Red Devils from Bayern Munich in 2014 but opted for Real instead. He’s gone on to make 188 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 66 goals, winning two Champions League trophies and one La Liga title. With United having lost Michael Carrick and potentially Marouane Fellaini too, they need a stellar midfield replacement.
There are few better than Kroos and Don Balon believe there’s a chance he could make the switch to Manchester. The 28-year-old remains a regular under Zinedine Zidane, making 41 appearances in all competitions, but he may have reservations over the club’s direction after they fell considerably short in the title race – third in La Liga with 75 points after 37 games.
United could add the German international to their midfield options of Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic next season which would certainly be an improvement from this campaign.
Time is ripe 2 jettison both Mourinho & Fellaini from our great club jm is slowly dismantling MU & also damaging players careers this he is well known for time has passed him by sack him give his payout let’s start fresh
Why on why do the press keep on with all this crap, according to you lot united are going to sign another first team.
