Manchester United supporters were overwhelmed by the performance by Paul Pogba during Saturday’s 4-1 triumph over Newcastle United in the Premier League. The France international made his United comeback after a two-month absence, and he did not disappoint as he grabbed a goal and assist in a flawless display.
Jose Mourinho’s men found themselves trailing in the early part of the game after a Victor Lindelof slip allowed Dwight Gayle to open the scoring for the Rafa Benitez’s side, who started with an attacking mindset.
However, soon after, Pogba brought his creativity into play after he provided a wonderfully chipped cross for Anthony Martial, who levelled the scores. Pogba better his performance on the day after he popped up with a goal of his own in the second-half.
Here are the best tweets over Paul Pogba’s performance…..
Pogba was fantastic today and credit to Jose for playing Lukaku and Ibra together straight away. Saved us a made up negative story. #much

Pogba. Wow. It’s almost as if being without your best player for two months makes a difference to how well you play ?

Pogba is genuinely a joy to watch. Power, trickery, passing, he’s got the lot. United look like a different side when he’s not there

Massive win for United today. Pogba played fantastic and basically won us the game. Lukaku back on the scoresheet and Zlatan back on the pitch ❤️

Despite Pogba’s strong showing, Mourinho is likely to play the Frenchman with caution in the Champions League in midweek with games against Arsenal and Manchester City coming up in early December.
The 24-year-old provided the attacking impetus from the heart of the midfield which United have desperately lacked in recent months, and the faithful will hope that he stays fit through the campaign to lead the title challenge.
