Manchester United attacker Juan Mata is very happy with the fact that the Red Devils have re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer.
Ibrahimovic made a huge impact at Manchester United last season after joining the club on a free transfer from PSG and his 28 goals were crucial in helping the Red Devils claim the Europa League as well as the EFL Cup titles.
However, Ibrahimovic suffered a season ending knee injury during the Europa League quarter final clash against Anderlecht last term and with the striker, at the time, expected to be out for a year, United decided to release him.
Despite such a devastating injury though, Ibrahimovic has already proved his fitness this summer and as a result, United have wasted no time whatsoever in re-acquiring the services of the 35-year-old.
Ibrahimovic is now expected to return back to action for United in January and attacking midfielder Juan Mata has gone on to express his delight that the veteran has been signed up by the Red Devils once again.
Mata said of Swede, “He’s one of those players that has a history of winning lots of trophies and scoring goals everywhere he goes and is the biggest star in the history of Swedish football.
“He’s a legend of the game and we are happy that he is with us. For the young players he is a big personality who they can look up to and learn a lot of things. His personality will help us.”
