According to Tuttosport, Juventus are considering a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, as a potential replacement for Miralem Pjanic who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
Should the Blues procure the signature of Pjanic, the Old Lady could try to bring back their former box-to-box star in his stead. United might stand in their way, however, as they have no desire to let the World Cup winner leave even despite Pogba enduring a difficult return to Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old won the Europa League and League Cup in the debut season of his second stint at United, but his form left a lot to be desire. Last season, he had an alleged fallout with Mourinho which threatened to see him sold in the summer too.
However, it appears the Red Devils aren’t seriously considering letting him go, so Juventus will be left empty-handed if they try to bring Pogba back to Turin. Chelsea may well be looking at bringing Pjanic to England, but United’s box-to-box player looks to be staying in Manchester regardless.
He’s made 88 appearances in all competitions since his move from Juve to United and looks to have a key role under Mourinho this upcoming season.
