Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku and manager Jose Mourinho have been involved in the training ground bust up over a disagreement regarding the striker’s positioning, according to the Metro.
Lukaku joined Manchester United over the summer for a massive £75million and following a fine start to the season, the Belgian international has been struggling to find the net on a consistent basis for the Red Devils in recent weeks.
Despite such poor form though, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has shown faith in the striker throughout the campaign so far and the big Belgian was finally able to break his drought couple of weeks ago in the clash against Bournemouth.
However, it now looks like Lukaku might have got on the bad side of Mourinho as it has been reported by the Metro that the striker was involved in an ugly confrontation with the Portuguese tactician.
It is believed that the reason of the dispute was due to Lukaku’s displeasure at being incessantly told by Mourinho how to position himself inside the box.
It will be interesting to see if the two big personalities will be able to reconcile and work together following the alleged bust up as most players in the past who have fallen out with Mourinho have had to deal with the negative consequences.
Nonetheless given the investment United have made on Lukaku, the bust-up can most probably be swept under the rug by Mourinho without any controversy.
