Eredivisie giants Ajax are reportedly looking into the prospect of re-signing Daley Blind from Manchester United in the current transfer window.
The Netherlands international joined United back in the summer of 2014 and he has since made nearly 150 appearances whilst featuring in different positions.
Despite this, he has struggled to become a regular under manager Jose Mourinho and he managed to make just four league starts under the Portuguese during the 2017/18 season.
According to De Telegraaf, Ajax could be prepared to offer an escape route to their former graduate, who has just one year left on his current deal with United.
Blind began the previous season in a strong manner as he started the first three Premier League games but he thereafter had a lengthy absence with Ashley Young occupying the left-back spot.
During this period, he happened to pick up an ankle injury which enabled Luke Shaw to jump ahead in the pecking order and he managed only one more league start for the remainder of the campaign.
As such, it has been a matter of when he would be leaving Old Trafford and he now appears to have an opportunity of reviving his career with Ajax, where he built a reputation for himself.
Aside from Blind, Matteo Darmian has also been tipped to head through the Old Trafford exit door with the Italian said to be keen on a return to the Serie A. Juventus are presently favourites to acquire his services.
