Manchester United was heavily linked (CalcioNapoli24) with a move to hire the services of Hirving Lozano last year but in the end, Napoli won the race and secured his signature.
The Mexican international is once again in the lime light and reports suggest that United are looking to finally get his signing done this summer.
Transfer: Man Utd have now agreed fee to secure signing – Report
Corriere Dello Sport cite reports in Mexico and claim that Man United have burst onto the scene to sign the 24-year-old attacker.
The renowned Italian source have mentioned that the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are also interested in luring the former PSV Eindhoven star.
Lozano is a versatile attacker, who can play on either flank and even as a center forward if needed. The North American man was a superstar in the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven.
In the last campaign, he scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists in 40 appearances for the Dutch side.
Unfortunately, at Napoli, he has mainly been a bench warmer. This season, the former Pachuca winger only started 9 times in the Serie A before the suspension of the campaign, scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist.
So, he might need to leave the Naples based club for regular first team football and Man United, who lack quality and depth in their wide attacking positions, could be a good option for him.
For the senior national side, he has so far played 39 games and netted 10 goals. It must be remembered that Hirving Lozano is represented by none other than super agent Mino Raiola, who has troubled the Old Trafford outfit with his statements about Paul Pogba.
In your view, should Man United move to sign the Mexican? His current contract with the Italian side will expire in 2024 and as per The Mail, he is valued at around £38.5million.
