Raphael Varane is currently with France at the European Championships and his future at Real Madrid remains in massive doubt. Reports in the Spanish media are consistently covering the subject.
As per today’s version of Mundo Deportivo (news image provided below), every passing day, it seems that the future of the Les Bleus defender is away from the Los Blancos.
Transfer: From Italy – Man Utd to finally launch bid to sign £56million star
The famous Spanish media source have reported that the 28-year-old star has still not accepted the 10 million euros a year proposal put forward by the La Liga giants, who think that the player has perhaps decided to leave.
MD claim that the likes of Man United and Paris Saint-Germain are leading the race to secure the signing of the experienced defender and at this moment, the Old Trafford outfit are closer.
It is further stated that Real Madrid are ready to sell their prized asset if he does not renew his contract. They are looking to get 70 million euros (£59.8million) and want to see if the Red Devils are willing to pay the asking price or not.
Recently, in an interview with Ladbrokes (via The Metro), former Red Devil, Nicky Butt, backed the club to sign the ex Ligue 1 star. He stated:
“If Varane is available, then I’d go all out for him.”
Well, if the reports are anything to go by then it looks likely that he will be available this summer. In your view, should Man United go all out to get his signing done?
