Man United Complete Signing of 16-year-old Spanish Starlet

Spanish teenager Arnau Puigmal has officially completed his move to Manchester United after he was given international clearance over his transfer. The 16-year-old impressed Red Devils’ scouts earlier in the year while he was featuring for Espanyol’s Cadete A side.

United had finalised an agreement to sign Puigmal as early as May and the player has since been waiting in the wings to seal his dream move. The youngster was dubbed as the star of the Espanyol academy during his time at Catalonia, and he will now feature for the development squad with a view to progressing to the first-team squad in the future.

Following his transfer, the teenager shared a photograph alongside club legend Andy Cole and Under-18 coach Kieran McKenna, via Instagram with the caption: “Very happy and proud to announce that I am a new Manchester United player, a dream come true. It’s time to work, come on Red Devils!”

United have seen the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira and Axel Tuanzebe graduate from the youth ranks in recent years, and Puigmal could join this list in the future, should he live up to his early career potential.
