Manchester United are reportedly confident of striking a deal with Juventus for Argentine star Paulo Dybala. The 24-year-old has been one of the Bianconeri’s sparking lights this term, contributing 15 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.
According to The Express, United are leading the hunt for the highly-rated attacker, who is also on the radar of Spanish giants Barcelona. Jose Mourinho’s men have struggled to find the perfect number 10 behind Romelu Lukaku, and Dybala has been earmarked as a potential option to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is currently out of contention for a starting role.
Whilst Juventus are likely to demand a potential club-record fee for Dybala, the Red Devils remain confident that a secret deal can be struck with Dybala having a close association with United’s Javier Ribalta, who was previously the head scout with the Turin outfit.
Dybala also shares a good friendship with United’s Paul Pogba, and the Frenchman could play his role in luring the Argentine from the clutches of Barcelona among others including Real Madrid.
The young forward made the switch to Juventus from Palermo during the summer of 2015, and he has since amassed 57 goals across all competitions. In this time, he has built his reputation with the national side, making 12 appearances in the process.
