Transfer: Man Utd could move to sign £93million playmaker – May face competition
The French outlet have mentioned that the Old Trafford outfit face serious competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid. It is further claimed that the African starlet would likely be sold if Lille receive an offer of over 80 million euros (£74million+) for their prized asset.
Even Liverpool have been interested in securing the signature of the highly rated forward (The Express).
Osimhen has been in fantastic form since joining the Ligue 1 side last year. So far, in all competitions, the former Wolfsburg goalscorer has netted 18 goals and provided 6 assists in 38 appearances under the management of Christophe Galtier.
The talented boy was named the African Young Player of the Year in 2015 after helping his country lift the Under-17 WC Trophy. In that tournament, the youngster directly contributed in 12 goals (10 goals and 2 assists) in just 7 games.
He made his senior international debut back in June 2017 and so far, in 8 appearances, he has scored 4 goals for the Super Eagles.
Man United sold Lukaku in the summer and did not replace him. In the winter transfer window, the Red Devils were able to sign a veteran forward in the form of Ighalo (on loan).
The 30-year-old striker has done well under Solskjaer thus far but he is merely a short term fix. The Norwegian manager needs to sign a proven quality out and out forward, who would be able to serve the club in the long run.
In your opinion, should Man United splash over £74million to secure the signing of Victor Osimhen?
