Last week, we covered a report (via Sport) claiming that Manchester United are ready to pay over £90million to sign Ansu Fati from Barcelona.
More recently, the renowned Spanish outlet have come up with another story and suggested that Man United are crazy to agree the signing of the 17-year-old boy, who has a release clause of 170 million euros (£152million).
Sport claim that the Red Devils submitted an initial offer of 100 million euros for the Spaniard and then citing reports from The Times, it is mentioned that the 20-time English champions even came up with a bid worth 150 million euros. However, Barca would only allow him to leave if his £152million is activated.
We have already talked about the performances of the teenage sensation in our previous post and claimed that we should not be spending more than 100 million euros on someone who has not been proven as yet.
However, as per Sport, Man United are clear that Fati would be a strategic capture and making a huge investment to agree his signing would be worth it.
Two days back, the winger started in the La Liga against Leganese at the Nou Camp, played for 54 minutes and scored the opening goal of the game (42nd minute).
Recent reports in the media have suggested that we are not prepared to pay (The Mail) Dortmund £100million to secure Jadon Sancho, who has proved to be one of the best attacking players in Germany.
Therefore, it would be highly surprising if we break the bank to sign Ansu Fati from the Catalan giants.
In your view, who should Manchester United lure to improve their attacking department in the summer transfer window?
