Man United to go head-to-head with Liverpool to sign 19-year-old wonderkid: report

Manchester United could reportedly go head-to-head with Liverpool in the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic in the summer. The United States international has made great strides over the past 18 months, and he is now one of the ever-presents in the Dortmund line-up.

According to The Independent, United are keeping a close watch on the highly-rated winger, and could make their interest heard, should Liverpool make a formal approach for the 19-year-old. Pulisic has previously confessed that he was a keen supporter of United during his childhood days, and this could put the club at an advantageous position despite Jurgen Klopp’s close association with Dortmund.

Despite his lean stature, Pulisic has turned out to be an efficient performer in the wide positions with his sleekness in play often bamboozling opposition defenders. The attacker is also effective with his holding up play, and he could be the perfect signing for the United attack front.

The teenager is widely regarded as the best recruit from the United States after Landon Donovan, and the move could also benefit United on a finally basis as they could develop their market in the West. Pulisic had one of the best games of his career during a league meeting versus Bayern earlier this campaign, and United’s scouts are surely going to keep tabs on his progress through the season.
