Man United have made contact to sign £27million attacker in January – Report

A week back, The Sun revealed that Manchester United consider making a move to sign Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan, who value the Danish international at £27million.

More recently, La Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed that the Nerazzurri have put the former Tottenham star on the market and Conte wants to get rid of him in January.

Transfer: Man Utd to finally seal £36million signing next month after vital progress – Journalist

The famous Italian outlet have mentioned that Man United have now made initial contact for the 28-year-old playmaker, who has mostly warmed the bench in the current campaign.

This season, the 103-capped international has only managed to start 5 games in all competitions for Inter Milan and has not completed full minutes in any game. In the last two league games vs Napoli and Spezia, he was an unused substitute.

Therefore, the attacker needs to leave the Serie A giants to play regularly and a move back to the Premier League could help.

Eriksen proved his worth in the Netherlands with Ajax before moving to Tottenham Hotspur. With the north Londoners, the versatile playmaker was brilliant, especially under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino.

He regularly scored and created goals for Spurs and was one of the best attackers in the Premier League. He has won the Danish Player of the Year prize on four occasions and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2018.

Manchester United have to improve their attack in January as they failed to adequately achieve that objective last summer. Eriksen is a proven PL player but he mainly plays in the No.10 position which is currently occupied by none other than our best player, Bruno Fernandes.

It must be remembered that the former Eredivisie star can also play effectively in the central midfield and even as a left winger if needed.

In your opinion, should Man United spend £27million to sign Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window?

  1. Cavani our man of the Match. Great goal scoring. Good playing by all our players. Martial and Radhford good partnership. Fred and Pogba always good attacking and Maguire always good defending. Alex Telles good passing and not forgetting our main man Bruno Fernandez always our hero. I think Cavani is bound to see his glory days at Man.Utd. Congrats to you all. You all look now like a class team that took alot of hard work and pain to get to where you are and do not let that be taken away from you all. I can see the determination and drive in each and every player. Continue to keep it up. Looks like we are the fans are going to have a lovely Christmas.
