Manchester United ended yet another season without a trophy and now, they need a successful summer transfer window to prepare for the next campaign.

The Red Devils need to reinforce several key departments and in this post, the focus is on the strike-force.

Transfer: Man Utd have submitted £33.7million offer to sign star – Report

According to a report covered by La Repubblica, the Old Trafford outfit and newly crowned Serie A champions, AC Milan, are interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

The renowned Italian news source have mentioned that thus far, Man United have made the most significant offer to sign the Nigerian international from the Naples-based side.

The 23-year-old striker’s current contract will expire in three years and recent reports (Sport Mediaset) have suggested that Aurelio de Laurentiis is demanding a fee of at least £84.7million (100 million euros) from his sale.

Man United heavily relied on Cristiano Ronaldo, in fact, it will be fair to say that they only relied on the 37-year-old veteran last term. We failed to win even a single game without the legendary striker (ESPN).

In 39 appearances (all competitions), the former Real Madrid forward scored 24 goals and lacked support upfront. With Cavani set to leave and Ronaldo only getting older, Ten Hag needs to bring in a young striker for the future.

Osimhen started 23 games in the recently concluded Serie A campaign and directly contributed in 19 goals (14 goals and 5 assists) for Napoli, who finished the season in 3rd place.

In your opinion, should Man United offer £84.7million to sign the African player?
