Man United have to secure signing of £50million attacker

Manchester United were humiliated in their own backyard by Crystal Palace yesterday and it was evident that going forward, the Red Devils lack quality.

Daniel James was preferred ahead of Greenwood but the Welshman had a flop outing and could not trouble the Eagles’ defense at all.

Man United have to sign a quality attacker before the closure of the summer transfer window or Solskjaer may suffer more. If Sancho is too expensive then an alternative must be lured and in my view, the Red Devils should move to bring back Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivorian international tormented our back-line and scored two goals to help Palace earn all three points at Old Trafford.

He was never given a fair chance at Man Utd and only played 4 senior games for the club. Since leaving us, he has consistently done well for the London based side. He was even the man of the match in the opening PL contest vs Southampton.

The versatile star can effectively play on either flank and even as an out and out center forward if needed. He is fast, a quality dribbler and can strike the ball with both feet.

Zaha is linked with a move away from Selhurst Park and Roy Hodgson is desperate to keep him. The English manager even opted to hand him the captain’s armband vs Man United and the winger led his team brilliantly.

As per reports (The Evening Standard), Palace will demand at least £50million from the sale of the 27-year-old attacker and I think that Man United have to splash the cash to secure his signing this summer.

Have your say – Would you welcome Wilfried Zaha back?

  1. Even new entrants in EPL may likely to defeat Man Utd in the coming days unless Woodward and Glazer company awake from sleeping and sign 3 to 4 new stars

  2. Getting an out and out striker should have been Man. Utd’s priority from the very beginning. Yes Martial has done very well but he is not a striker. What we need is a Van Persie RvN Ibrahimovic type player that’s going to get us goals regularly that’s going to threaten defenders. But instead we are placing I hopes on Sancho when we have Greenwood. I think Zaha will make a massive difference so would Kane. Im not surprised we got thrashed at OT yesterday. OGS gave his wish list awhile back and we only got DvdB. What about a LB CB and STR. Frustration is not losing games it’s the transfer windows.

  3. Solksjaer got his selection wrong against Crystal Palace. Bringing in Ighalo late in the match did not help as well. It was like the Man.U coach did not come to play for maximum point. Zaha is long overdue to be a Man. U player. Whoever or whatever is delaying his signing is not helping the club.

  4. Man Utd are not being aggressive, in defense and in attack. We need an attacker, who knows how to score goals from different angles. Martial should be deployed to the wing, because he likes operating from the wing. united need a central defender, left back, a right wing and an attacker. There’s no competition in the team, and the players need to play with passion for the team.

  5. Chelsea and Liverpool has shown just how incompetent Ed Woodard is. He got his house burnt to force a Fernandes signing, this window he has gone back to his lamedock approach, when even Liverpool that won the league is strengthening their square. I doubt if man utd will qualify for Europa league this season. We let haaland go, we let kai havetz go, we let timo wener go, we let all the opportunity to strengthen our squard go, we are letting Sancho go. Woodard must go!
