Transfer: £110,000 a week forward offered to Manchester United – Face competition
Few days back, Sport reported that the Catalan giants have offered a 5 year deal to the Uruguayan international that will make him earn 3 million euros per year.
However, the player is not happy with the proposal put forward by the La Liga side and Man United have made contact to secure his signature.
According to Spanish journalist, Dario Montero, the 22-year-old central defender is eager to sign a new deal with Barca his agent is currently in talks to sort out his future.
As far as Man United’s interest is concerned, Montero claims that the Old Trafford outfit have offered Araujo a deal worth 10 million euros per year i.e. (£162,000-a-week).
So, the Premier League club are prepared to pay three times more than Barcelona to sign the player. The Nou Camp outfit need to make a serious economic effort if they are to hold on to their prized asset.
