Man United ready bid to sign £47.3million+ man – Report

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Man Utd boss

Manchester United have a rock solid center half in the form of Harry Maguire. The England international was impressive for the Red Devils last term and he has been fantastic for his country at the European Championships.

However, he missed the last few games for the Old Trafford outfit and in those fixtures, Ole’s men let in 8 goals. Moreover, he was absent from the Europa League final that we lost against Villareal.

Transfer: Man Utd told £34million would secure star who wants OT move – Report

The likes of Lindelof and Eric Bailly are inconsistent and not good enough and therefore, Solskjaer needs a reliable central defender, who would be able to partner Maguire and lead the back-line when the skipper is absent.

There are not many stars around who are better than Raphael Varane. The French has earned success with both club and country and he has the quality and experience to solve the defensive conundrum at Man Utd once and for all.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are readying a bid to hire the services of the Les Bleus center back this summer.

According to El Mundo, the Red Devils are preparing an offer worth 50 million euros to sign the former Lens player, who will be out of contract in less than a year. It is stated that as per reports in English the deal is close but that is not the case and the defender might even end up staying at the Bernabeu.

As far as the asking price is concerned, the Los Blancos have demanded a fee of at least 55 million euros plus add-ons (£47.3million+) to let their prized asset leave this summer (ABC).
