Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking department and they are linked with Welsh international Gareth Bale.
According to an exclusive story covered by Mirror Sport, Real Madrid, who have already lured Eden Hazard from Chelsea, are ready to get rid of their record signing this summer and are demanding a fee of £75million.
The British source have mentioned that the Red Devils are interested in luring Bale but on the cheap. It is stated that Man United are set to launch an audacious move to sign the playmaker on a season-long loan with an option to extend the deal by a further year.
Transfer: Report – Man United ready £84million move to sign superstar
The 29-year-old star has won every major prize with the Spanish giants since leaving Tottenham in the summer transfer window of 2013.
However, in the last few campaigns, he has been highly injury prone. Moreover, under the management of French boss Zinedine Zidane, Bale has mostly been a bench warmer as well.
If we look at the positives, Bale has proved his worth in the Premier League. During his time with Spurs, he won the PFA Player’s Player of the Year prize in 2010-11 and also in 2012-13. Apart from the Welsh superstar, only legends like Shearer, Mark Hughes, Henry and Ronaldo have won the award on two occasions.
Moreover, he scored decisive goals in the 2013-14 and 2017-18 Champions League finals vs Atletico Madrid and Liverpool respectively.
So, a fit Bale has got the quality to largely improve Man United’s attack but his injury record is a scary one.
Take a look at his ridiculous injury record on Transfermarkt’s website. In your opinion, should Solskjaer bring Bale to Old Trafford?
