Man United set to press to finally sign £120million star – Report

Rice and Sancho for England

Manchester United are set to press to finally hire the services of Declan Rice from West Ham in the summer.

The Hammers midfielder will be out of contract next year and could leave the club in the next transfer window.

According to an exclusive story covered by The Sun, the Red Devils are ready to rival Arsenal to lure the England international.

The British news source have mentioned United believe they convince Rice that his future lies at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old star has proven his worth in the Premier League and on international level for the Three Lions.

He is one of the best play breakers in the country and showcased true defensive class at the weekend to help West Ham earn a victory against the Red Devils.

In all competitions, so far, Rice has directly contributed in 8 goals (4 goals and 4 assists) under the management of David Moyes. All eyes will be on him when West Ham will face AZ Alkmaar in the Conference League semi finals tomorrow.

The latest reports (Sky Sports) going on in the media suggest that it would take a mammoth fee of £120million to sign him.

I do not think Man United should splash the above mentioned amount on a player who will be free to leave in July, 2024.

On the other hand, in the presence of a world class defensive midfielder like Casemiro, in my view, Ten Hag really does not need to sign Declan Rice. What do you think?
