The former Schalke star’s current deal will expire in 2025 and the Old Lady want a fee of 50 million euros (£43.8million) from his sale.
McKennie can play anywhere in the center of the park but mainly, he is a creative central midfielder, who has netted 3 goals and provided 2 assists for Juve in the current campaign.
Yesterday, he featured for full 90 minutes in the 3-3 Serie A draw against Atalanta. The 24-year-old was a key member of the US squad that reached the last 16 of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
At Old Trafford, Donny van de Beek has mainly been a bench warmer. He was a hit under Ten Hag at Ajax and must have thought that his situation would change after the arrival of the Dutch boss this summer.
However, unfortunately, the Netherlands international has spent majority of his time on the treatment table this season. He has only started 2 games in the Premier League and is currently out with a knee injury.
Ten Hag has mainly utilized summer signings, Casemiro and Eriksen, in the central midfield and the duo have been highly impressive.
However, he needs to further improve the quality and depth in the center of the park as McTominay and Fred are just not consistent enough. In your view, should Man Utd move in to sign Weston McKennie?
