Man United’s predicted lineup vs Liverpool

Manchester United are 16 points behind arch rivals Liverpool and today the Red Devils will be looking to end the Reds’ unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are in red hot form at the moment and their star playmaker, Mohamed Salah, has regularly scored in recent weeks. At Anfield, Liverpool normally hold stronger cards. Can Mourinho stop them? We shall see.

The good news for United faithful is that a few players who had injury concerns of late could feature against Liverpool. According to Metro, Shaw, Lindelof, Martial and Smalling have traveled to Merseyside for the fixture.

Shaw has missed the last three games in all competitions but he has been our first choice left back this season and could get the nod to start. The ex Southampton defender would have to be at his best to stop Salah.

Smalling and Lindelof should start in the central defense in front of an out of form David De Gea.  The Spanish goalie has proved to be brilliant in the past few meetings with Liverpool at Anfield. He needs to step up his game today as well. In the left back position, Ashley Young will likely start.

Record signing Pogba has mainly been a bench warmer in recent weeks. The Les Bleus star has world class talent and on his day, he can dominate midfield single-handedly. He should start in the central midfield today.

Matic could return to the starting lineup after sitting out the game against Valencia in the Champions League. Fellaini might retain his starting place in the central midfield.

Lukaku needs to go in my view and Rashford should regularly start in the center forward role. Behind the young English starlet, Martial and Lingard should start in the wide attacking positions.
