Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Man Utd boss

Not so long ago, Manchester United were on top of the Premier League table. Now, they are perhaps out of the title race and should go again next season.

The Red Devils need to improve the quality and depth of their squad in the summer transfer window to seriously challenge the best of teams in the continent.

Without world class signings, there is no way that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can lead Man United to their 21st Premier League title. We look at the top quality players linked with a move to Old Trafford and how they would line up if somehow, we can hire their services.

CF

As mentioned several times on the site, United need a clinical finisher, someone, who will be able to score at least 20 goals in the league. The last time one of our players achieved that feat was way back in 2012-13 season.

Robin van Persie scored 26 goals and we ended up winning the title. Erling Haaland has been United’s radar for sometime. The Norwegian who won the Golden Boy award has been scored for fun in the past year and he should be our main CF if Solskjaer can convince him to join.

CB

In the past few years, we have lured the likes of Bailly, Lindelof and Maguire to improve the central defense but we still lack a leader.

As per reports going on in the media, Varane is linked with a move to Old Trafford. He will be out of contract in 2022 and therefore, he could depart Real Madrid this summer.

The French international is one of the most decorated CBs around and he is in his peak years. He should start with Maguire in the central defense.

RW

Who else but Jadon Sancho. The England international wanted to join us in the summer but due to the financial implications of the global pandemic, we were not able to meet the asking price of 120 million euros.

Dortmund are prepared to agree a reduced fee next summer. He has regularly scored and created goals for BvB since leaving Man City in 2018 and he would largely improve the quality of our offense.

Here is how Man United’s probable XI next season if they secure the key targets:

  1. Bruno excellent goal scoring. Still our hero. Maguire and Greenwood good defending. Captain always strong guarding for his team. Rashford and Mctomminay great speed and keep moving more forward Mctomminay as you can make alot of difference and save time passing. What has happened to Wan Bissaka and Bailly committing alot of mistakes and not very alert in the box? Daniel James also movement good.
    Dean Henderson good goal keeping.
