The Dutch coach has struggled to get the best out of his team so far this season. With just three wins from 11 games across all competitions, it is safe to say that Manchester United find themselves in a dire position so far.
This however has not stopped the club from being linked with players in the transfer market. As per Inter Live, Man Utd are able to agree over £66.8m fee should they wish to sign Inter Milan defender Federico Dimarco.
Dimarco has been exceptional both for Simone Inzaghi’s team and the Italian national team so far this season. His performances have caught the attention of not just Manchester United but also Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
The German giants are resigned to the fact that they might have to lose Alphonso Davies at the end of the current campaign. The Canadian’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to pen a new deal.
Manchester City currently use Nathan Ake and Josko Gvardiol as the left-back with Rico Lewis also playing there at times. For some time now, it is the only position that has been an Achilles heel for Pep Guardiola’s otherwise indomitable squad.
Manchester United on the other hand have been forced to use Diogo Dalot as the left-back for quite some time now. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have failed to remain fit for some time now and the club might be considering replacing them.
It remains to be seen how the future pans out for Dimarco. The 26-year-old is at the top of his game and only time will tell us where he ends up, especially with Inter’s insistence on keeping him. Let’s see how it goes.
