There haven’t been many things to smile about as a Manchester United fan so far this season but one player who has been a breath of fresh air for a club during these trying times has been Amad Diallo, whose performances have been top-class.
The Ivorian was always considered one of the more talented young players in the squad but it took him until the 2024-25 season to settle in and actually show what he is capable of.

In 28 games across competitions, Diallo has scored six goals and provided seven assists and had important goals against Manchester City and Liverpool. All this has earned him a deserved, new contract at the club.
The official website of Man Utd have revealed that Amad Diallo has signed a new contract with the side until 2030.
It is an important piece of business from the club considering the Ivorian could be the face of Ruben Amorim’s project.
United in Focus have revealed that Man Utd will be paying Diallo around £120,000-per-week during his time at the club on his new contract, making the entire package for five and half years worth around £34.3million.
Ruben Amorim seems to have immense trust in what the youngster brings to the table. The Ivorian has been used both as a right attacking midfielder and a right wing-back and it remains to be seen where his future pans out.
Amad Diallo has the talent to grow in terms of performance and stature in the coming years, Man Utd would do well to place immense trust in him and a new deal is definitely a step in the right direction.
