Manchester United could get their hands on Willian from Chelsea during the current transfer window, should they offer Anthony Martial in a potential swap deal for the Brazilian.
The 29-year-old has been with the Blues for the past five seasons but his future has come under question in recent weeks amid his shrewd relationship with manager Antonio Conte.
According to The Telegraph, United boss Jose Mourinho could be reunited with the £60million star this summer but the Blues are unlikely to offer them an easy route with Barcelona also interested.
Regardless of this, the west London outfit are open to discussing the player’s transfer to Old Trafford but they are said to have a condition where Martial would be heading in the opposite direction.
Willian has provided a quality performer during his time at Stamford Bridge but securing his services at the expense of Martial does not appear as a good of piece of business.
Unlike the Brazilian, Martial has age by his side to develop into a potential world-beater and United would be better off selling the Frenchman to a foreign club, should they have no other choice.
The right wing position had been a problematic position for United since last season but the club’s supporters would surely fancy someone like Gareth Bale ahead of Willian, if there is the need to strengthen.
