Manchester United are serious about securing the signing of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce before the closure of the winter transfer window.
As per a story covered by Corriere dello Sport, after seeing their first bid worth 30 million euros rejected, the Old Trafford outfit have moved in with a new offer.

The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that Man Utd have already agreed a deal with Dorgu and now, they have made a bid worth more than £29.6million (32 million euros plus add-ons).
CdS claim the Red Devils have ‘increased the pressure’ to get ‘closer’ to the 40 million euros fee demanded by Lecce.
The fact that Dorgu has an ‘agreement’ with Man Utd is working in favor of the Premier League side.
Where will Dorgu play at Man Utd?
The Danish international is naturally a left back, however, in the current campaign, so far, the Italian side have mainly utilized him in the right wing position.
Yesterday, the 20-time English champions loaned out big money flop right winger signing, Antony, to Real Betis.
On the other hand, Amorim does not have ample strength in the left back position as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia has mostly spent time on the injury table.
Therefore, signing a versatile player like Dorgu would help Man Utd reinforce multiple positions, and it will be intriguing to see where Amorim will use him.
First and foremost, United need to seal his signing before the closure of the window. Lecce face Inter Milan in the Serie A and it remains to be seen if Dorgu will play tonight.
