Man Utd agree fee to secure £60million+ signing – Report

In June, Man United secured the signings of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and Daniel James from Swansea City.

In July, the Red Devils have been heavily linked with a lot of players but it seems that the month is going to end without signing anyone.

The good thing is that as per reports, United might be able to secure a signing or two before the transfer window closes next month.

Transfer: Report – Man United offer £80million man to sign playmaker

According to Football Insider, Manchester United and Sporting CP have agreed a fee of over £60million for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes. It is mentioned that United are also in advanced talks to lure Maguire.

In Italy, renowned journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, has claimed that the PL giants and the Primeira Liga club are preparing to seal the transfer of the Portuguese international.

As far as the personal terms are concerned, earlier this month, La Gazzetta Dello Sport’s reporter Nicolo Schira claimed (Twitter) that United reached an agreement with Fernandes’ agent but recently, there is no update about any contract agreement.

The 24-year-old was in fantastic form last season. In the league, he directly contributed in 33 goals (20 goals and 13 assists) in as many appearances and helped Sporting finish third in the table.

In the Europa League, he scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 8 appearances and the Portuguese giants were eliminated in the first KO round of the competition.

In the Allianz Cup, the highly rated attacking midfielder directly contributed in 4 goals in as many starts to help Sporting win the tournament. Moreover, he directly contributed in 8 goals in 7 appearances in his team’s Taca De Portugal triumph.

Overall, in all competitions, he netted 32 goals and provided 18 assists in 53 appearances.

Not to forget, Portugal won the UEFA Nations League last month and Fernandes played for full 90 minutes in the semis vs Switzerland and for 81 minutes in the final vs the Netherlands.
