Transfer: Man Utd prepared to secure signing of £80million player in January – Report

More recently, Tutto Mercato Web have claimed that Man Utd are in pole position to sign the veteran center forward but lately, German giants Borussia Dortmund have also shown interest in securing his signature.

The Italian source have mentioned that Italian champions Juventus value Mandzukic at around 12 million euros (£10.3million).

On the other hand, Calcio Mercato covered a report yesterday and claimed that the 33-year-old striker is looking to move back to Bayern Munich, however, the reigning German champions have no interest in re-signing him.

Mandzukic won two Bundesliga titles with Bayern and four Serie A titles with the Bianconeri. Not to forget, he was a key member of the Bayern Munich squad that won the Champions League title in 2013. He scored against Dortmund in the final.

The former Atletico Madrid man also scored in the CL final of 2017 for Juventus but Real Madrid comprehensively defeated the Old Lady to lift the trophy.

We know that Mario Mandzukic has got ample experience to improve Man Utd but it must be remembered that he has not played even a single competitive game in the current campaign.

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
