As per today’s version of iNews, having secured the services of sporting director, Dan Ashworth, Man Utd’s priority is to lure Zirkzee to improve the strike-force.

As per the news source, talks are progressing and Man Utd are now ‘preparing to meet’ the termination clause of £34m to get the deal done.

It is reported that Zirkzee is considered as the ideal candidate to support and provide competition to Danish striker, Rasmus Hojlund.

Apart from the Netherlands starlet, Man Utd also have eyes on Lille center forward, Jonathan David.

As per CorSport, if the £34m clause is activated, then Zirkzee will not have to return to Bologna this summer and after the conclusion of the European Championships, he will go directly to his new club.

The Italian source claim, Old Trafford boss, Erik ten Hag, has contacted the 23-year-old and United seem ‘determined’ to resolve the situation.

Bologna do not want to wait and are already moving to hire Zirkzee’s replacement in the form of Fotis Ioannidis.

The former Bayern Munich striker has not made his senior debut for the Oranje as yet. Will that change today against Romania? Only time will tell.
