Despite signing a world class player in the form of Raphael Varane last summer, Manchester United have been highly inconsistent defensively.
Therefore, the Red Devils have been linked with quite a few center backs this month and lately, they have been backed to sign German international, Niklas Sule.
Transfer: Man Utd told £25million+ will get signing done in January – Contact made
The Bayern Munich star will be out of contract in the summer and he has refused to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena. MEN‘s Mike Parrot and Bundesliga expert, Florian Plettenberg, have backed Man Utd to sign the Kaiser. The German football expert heavily praised the ‘quality’ 26-year-old central defender and stated:
“He wants to play in the Premier League, and he wants to move. Now he wants to make that move. And I think that if Manchester United, or especially Ralf Rangnick, are 100% aware of Niklas Sule, they will definitely go for him because he’s such an interesting player. He is a national player. He’s in good shape right now. So it’s the player who can definitely improve Manchester United.”
On the other and, Parrot added:
“Huge, very, very good in the air, and great with the ball as well. I think a lot of people see a lot of similarities with him with the likes of the great Premier League centre-backs at the moment like Ruben Dias, Harry Maguire, or Virgil Van Dij; it’d be a great buy for United.”
The former Hoffenheim center back has won every major domestic prize with the Bavarians and was a key member of the squad that won the Champions League in 2020.
For the senior national side, the £113,000-a-week star (The Sun) has so far earned 37 caps and was part of the side that won the Confederations Cup in 2017.
So, Niklas Sule has ample quality and experience. In your view, should Man Utd move to get his signing done?
