Now, the Red Devils are once again looking to hire the services of the South American and former scout, Mick Brown, has backed the club to get the signing done as he would be ideal for Amorim.

Brown told Football Insider:

“I think he (Matheus Cunha) fits the (Man Utd) system perfectly. He can press, he’s quick, his passing and creativity is very good, and he can play through the middle and score goals too.”

The former Atletico Madrid man is mainly a center forward but he can effectively play in the No.10 position and even as a winger.

In the current campaign, Wolves have mostly utilized the 25-year-old in the hole behind the center forward (AM, SS) and so far, he has directly contributed in 10 goals (7 goals and 3 assists) in 12 starts in the PL.

However, the Molineux outfit have been terrible in the defensive third and therefore, find themselves in the relegation zone after 13 games.

Losing their star player in the middle of the campaign will damage Wolves’ chances of staying in the top flight, hence it will not come as any surprise if they block his transfer in January.

Have your say – Should Man Utd bid big to finally sign Matheus Cunha?
