As per reports in the Italian media, Man Utd are targeting the signing of Italian coach, Thiago Motta, to replace Erik ten Hag.
According to a story covered by La Gazzetta Dello Sport today (Page 4), Man Utd and Juventus are bidding to sign Motta from Bologna in the summer.
The 41-year-old boss, who only takes home around £40,000 a week, has proved his worth in Italy and could help Bologna earn Champions League qualification.
After 30 games in the Serie A, the Rossoblu occupy the final CL qualification spot and are five points ahead of 5th placed, Roma.
Motta’s current deal at Bologna will expire in June and Juve are thinking about luring him in order to replace Max Allegri.
On the other hand, United are looking at the possibility of replacing Ten Hag, whose job at Old Trafford might not be safe.
Motta was a decorated star during his playing career as he won league titles in Italy, Spain and France and also won two Champions Leagues. Now, he is proving to be a top class manager.
