Man Utd blow as £30m target agrees to sign for Tottenham – Report

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Last night, we covered a story stating that Man Utd are prepared to submit an offer to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa but the latest update today is not a positive one for the Red Devils.

As per today’s version of Corriere della Sera, Tottenham are just ‘one step’ away from signing the Romanian international in the January transfer window.

The famous Italian media outlet have mentioned that Dragusin has agreed to sign for Spurs and has already ‘said yes’ to them.

The north Londoners just have to agree a fee with the Italian club to seal the signing.

According to CdS, Genoa are demanding a fee of £30m (35 million euros) from the sale of their prized asset.

On the other hand, thus far, Tottenham have verbally submitted a bid worth 23 million euros. Napoli are also in the race but they are refusing to go above 20 million euros.

Man Utd desperately need to reinforce the backline this month and it is a huge blow for them as a talented defender like Dragusin is close to moving to Spurs, who are already eight points above them in the Premier League table.

The Red Devils have to act fast and improve the squad in the winter transfer window because if their rivals do so, they will increase the gap even further.

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds and will keep you updated.
