Manchester United were heavily linked with Mohammed Kudus and even the player wanted to move to Old Trafford.

However, as per reports (Sky Sports), West Ham United have agreed a deal worth £38million to sign the Ghanaian international from Ajax.

Back in January, Erik ten Hag was eager to lure the African star, who proved to be a hit at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year.

Moreover, back in March, as per Football Insider, the speedy winger told his friends, he wants to reunite with the Dutch boss at Man Utd.

Kudus was key member of Ten Hag’s squad that won the Eredivisie title in the 2021-22 campaign for Ajax.

However, last year, the manager opted to lure Antony from the Dutch giants and the Brazilian international has so far proved to be a massive flop.

On the other hand, Jadon Sancho, who directly contributed in over 100 goals in three seasons with Dortmund, has not managed to impress in the Premier League.

So, Man Utd need to improve the quality of their wide offensive positions and in such a scenario, Kudus, who has already netted 4 goals in 3 games this term, would have been a top addition.

Unfortunately, he is heading to join West Ham. The Hammers failed in their pursuits of McTominay and Maguire and have now utilized the funds to lure the African star.

Have your say – Who should Erik ten Hag sign to reinforce the squad before the transfer deadline ends next week?
