Man Utd call but Liverpool lead to agree signing of £80million star – Report

As per reports in the Italian media, more than a few Premier League clubs are interested in signing Champions League finalist, Nicolo Barella, in the summer transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter Milan are scared of the attack of the English clubs and do not want to lose their prized asset.

The 26-year-old midfielder has given no indication to leave the Nerazzurri but the situation may change if the clubs start pressing or sending cheques.

GdS claim that Man Utd and Chelsea have made phone calls to inquire about luring Barella but Liverpool are in the lead to agree his signing.

Newcastle United are interested as well but it is reported that the above mentioned PL trio are much more attractive destinations for the player.

The Italian international has a long term contract at the San Siro and as per the Milan based outlet, it would take a fee of more than 80 million euros to hire his services.

In Britain, The Independent reveal the Serie A giants want a a figure close to £80million for their superstar central midfielder.

Barella won the European Championships with Italy in 2021 and at the weekend, he earned a Bronze medal in the UEFA Nations League.

The versatile talent has the quality to regularly score and create goals and in the recently concluded season, he directly contributed in 19 goals for Inter.
