Manchester United are interested in signing Khephren Thuram to reinforce their midfield and the latest reports are intriguing.
Back in December last year, Calcio Mercato reported that the Red Devils are one of the Premier League sides to have made contact for the Nice star.
Transfer: Man Utd above all press to finally sign £100,000 a week star – Report
Now, according to a recent report published by Tutto Mercato Web, the Old Trafford outfit have the French midfielder in their sights.
TMW claim Inter Milan and Juventus are following Thuram but Man Utd can easily outbid the Italian rivals to secure his signing.
His current contract with Nice will expire next year and as per the report, he is valued at around £34m (40 million euros).
Thuram can effectively play in the defensive and central midfield roles and this season, he has been a key player for the Les Aiglons, who have conceded the fewest number of goals in the Ligue 1.
In the last campaign, the Les Bleus midfielder averaged three shot creating chances per match and was named in the French league’s Team of the Year.
The best days of Casemiro and Eriksen are long gone, on the other hand, we can expect Amrabat to return to Fiorentina after expiry of his loan spell at the end of the season.
Therefore, Man Utd must splash the cash to revamp things in the center of the park in the summer transfer window.
In your opinion, should Man Utd pay £34m to sign Khephren Thuram?
