Manchester United were linked with several players in the winter transfer window and one of them was Donyell Malen, however, FFP concerns prevented them from reinforcing the squad.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are now clear to finally secure the Dutch international in the summer transfer window.

Last month, United were preparing an offer for Dortmund to lure the playmaker, who was valued at around 30 million euros and even wanted to move to Old Trafford.
Now, after consistent performances, BvB has raised his price tag and are prepared to agree a fee of around £34m-£42m (40-50 million euros).
As per today’s version of Bild (news image provided below), Dortmund’s financial future depends on Malen.
The consistent top performances are making the player ‘increasingly valuable’ on the European market and in the summer, he will be allowed to leave the Signal Iduna Park for a fee of £34m-£42m.
Bild claim Man Utd and Liverpool have been seriously interested and could move to finally secure his signature in the next transfer window.
In the last five Bundesliga games, Malen has directly contributed in six goals and he even found the net in the 1-1 Champions League draw against former side, PSV Eindhoven.
Overall this term, the 25-year-old has so far netted twelve goals and provided four assists in 23 starts in all competitions.
In your view, should Man Utd bid around £34m-£42m to finally secure Malen in the summer?
