Man Utd close in with £58m bid, ready to finalize signing today – Player in England

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Manchester United have submitted a new an improved bid for Rasmus Hojlund if reports in the media are anything to go by.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Red Devils raised the offer to more than 60 million euros and want to seal the deal as soon as possible.

Moreover, last night, Alfredo Pedulla revealed Man Utd have tabled a bid worth 67 million euros (£58m inclusive of add-ons).

Atalanta are still asking for a package worth 75 million euros and the Old Trafford club can reach a solution by raising the amount of the fixed initial fee.

Pedulla claims the negotiations are close and Man Utd are ready to finalize the deal to sign the Danish international today.

Hojlund is already in England to play against Bournemouth today and it is reported that his future will be in the Premier League.

Neither Romano, nor Pedulla have talked about any interest from Paris Saint-Germain as the player is clear about signing for the 20-time English champions.

It will be fair to say that the 75 million euros price tag is absolutely huge for a striker who only netted 9 goals in the Serie A last term.

Hojlund is young and talented but Ten Hag will need to get at least 20 goals from his main striker to have any chance of challenging Man City for the title in the next campaign. What do you think?
