If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United are on the verge of securing their first signing of the summer.
According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with Welsh international and Swansea City starlet Daniel James.
As far as the fee is concerned, the British outlet have mentioned that the PL giants are close to agreeing a fee of £15million with the Championship side to get the signing done.
United do need to strengthen the attacking department in the summer transfer window and the best thing about James is that he is a versatile attacker, who can be deployed in multiple offensive positions.
The 21-year-old playmaker is a right footed player who mainly plays on the left wing. However, when needed, Swansea also utilized him on the right flank and even as a center forward at times.
In the last campaign, he featured in 38 games in all competitions, scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists. He made his senior international debut back in November 2018 and so far, he has netted 1 goal in 2 appearances for Wales.
We still have Alexis Sanchez at the club. The Chilean international was a superstar at the Emirates but since moving to Old Trafford, he has been below average. So, it will not come as any surprise if he is sold in the summer. In my view, he must be sold as soon as possible.
If we do end up luring James, then I think Solskjaer should deploy the youngster in his preferred position (LW) in the next campaign to help him quickly settle in the Premier League. I think he would likely cover for Anthony Martial, who is our first choice left winger.
