Manchester United could agree a deal with Inter Milan for Daley Blind whose ‘time could be up’. The 28-year-old has struggled for playing time under Jose Mourinho and could consider a move away from Old Trafford in pursuit of more first-team football elsewhere.
According to Gazetta Dello Sport, the Nerazzurri could be in need of a defensive reinforcement, with the future of Davide Santon uncertain this summer. The 27-year-old has just 12 months left on his deal with Inter and was used sparingly last season.
Santon made just 15 Serie A appearances, spending the majority of the campaign on the bench or out of the matchday squad entirely, but he could yet sign an extension. He’s unlikely to be first-choice next season, however, so Blind’s potential arrival might see him reconsider an extension.
United aren’t likely to stand in the Dutchman’s way if he does seek an exit, as the defender has been out of favour under Jose Mourinho in the last 12 months. He made only four Premier League starts in 2017/18 and could leave on a free transfer in 2019 if the Red Devils don’t cash in this summer.

With Blind not getting much playing time, it would be in his best interest to move to another club. That’s a shame really. When he first came to United, he played lots and he played well.
