Man United could sacrifice Anthony Martial for ‘stellar signing’ Kylian Mbappe this summer

According to Don Balon, Manchester United could agree a part-exchange deal with Paris Saint-Germain for ‘stellar signing‘ Kylian Mbappe this summer. United could reportedly offer Anthony Martial and £167m to bring the 19-year-old to Old Trafford.

Mbappe may have caused financial complications when he arrived at the Parc des Princes in a deal worth £158m last summer, as the French club had already spent £198m to sign Neymar. An exit could be on the cards as a result and United are hoping to capitalise.

The French international scored and created 32 goals in 42 games in all competitions for PSG after making the switch from AS Monaco 12 months ago. Mbappe played on the right-wing for the Ligue 1 champions for the majority of last season and could reprise his role in attack for the Manchester giants.

United have an abundance of attackers in the squad, with Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford all vying for a starting place, but they’re lacking a natural option on the right wing.

Mbappe could fill the role if he was signed this summer, but a deal to bring him to Old Trafford could see Martial going in the other direction.
