Man Utd could make late move to sign £128,000-a-week striker – Report

Dzeko Bosnia

Robin van Persie was the last Manchester United striker to score over 20 goals in a PL campaign. That happened back in 2012-13 and since then, we have not won a single league title.

As per reports going on in the media, Edin Dzeko is available and the Old Trafford club are linked with him.

Transfer: Man Utd have made contact to sign £53million winger before deadline – Face competition

Few days back, Corriere dello Sport revealed that the Roma striker, who earns around £128,000-a-week, has been offered to Man United in the winter transfer window.

Yesterday, Quotidiano revealed that the Bosnian international is looking for way out of the Giallorossi and Man Utd could make a late move to get his signing done this month.

The news outlet have claimed that Dzeko has fallen apart with the Italian club, who have stripped him off the captaincy. Therefore, his departure from the capital city before tomorrow’s deadline is a possibiliy.

The question is, should Man Utd move to hire his services?

Dzeko won the Bundesliga title with Wolfsburg then went on to win a couple of Premier League trophies with Manchester City. Moreover, he has consistently performed well with Roma as well.

So, the veteran striker is a proven player who has the quality to improve Solskjaer’s out of form strike-force at Old Trafford.

However, the 34-year-old is not going to provide a long term solution and therefore, if Man Utd do look to sign him, it should only be for a period of 6 months.

In the summer transfer window, they must move to lure a top quality goal scorer, who would be able to serve the side in the long run. Someone like Erling Halland would be a massive capture.
